As a Quantitative Strategist Specialist, AVP in the Valuation Control (VC) Strats team at Mumbai, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting the banks Valuation Control function. This involves independent valuation of the banks fair value balance sheet, ensuring accurate fair value reporting, appropriate reserving, and regulatory capital calculation for financial instruments. Collaborating with Valuation managers and FO Quant globally, you will drive enhancements in valuation processes and methodologies on internal and regulatory projects. A deep understanding of Independent Pricing Verification, Reserves, and Prudent valuation process is essential for this role. Your responsibilities will include working on automation and optimization of valuation control processes, building quantitative solutions and methodologies around reserves and prudent valuation, and developing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining frameworks to measure valuation risk across the bank. You will be expected to understand and translate business problems into manageable statements, gather information from stakeholders, design optimized and scalable automated solutions, and develop Python libraries to provide business solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a strong background with at least 7 years of experience in an international Bank or comparable setting. Strong analytical skills, supported by an MFE/MBA in Finance/Engineering/Mathematics/Quantitative Statistics from a top institution, are required. Good product knowledge of derivatives and pricing in at least one asset class (Equity, Credit, Rates, FX, Commodities), experience in valuation models and pricing techniques, and knowledge of languages such as R/Python/SQL are essential. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work well under pressure and tight timelines are crucial.
