As a skilled professional in the airline/aviation/travel industry, you will lead the technical design and development of small to medium-sized solutions within a team. Your responsibilities will include translating functional and non-functional requirements into well-suited technical designs, ensuring solution performance, addressing business edge cases, and resolving security-related issues during software development. You will be proficient in debugging complex issues with minimal supervision, following design documents accurately. Your expertise in code review will demonstrate strong coding principles, enabling you to effectively tackle software engineering tasks and problems of moderate to high scope. You will play a key role in translating business solution requirements into technical solutions based on the defined technical design. Additionally, you will be responsible for acknowledging, investigating, and resolving incidents within service levels using knowledge solutions. In cases where incidents fall outside the team's competencies, you will escalate them to 3rd-level resolver groups within the client or external service providers and diligently follow up on the resolution. Your suggestions for enhancing the Knowledge Solutions database will be valuable in improving operational efficiency. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the airline/aviation/travel industry - Experience in DCS (Departure Control System), Reservations Inventory, Ticketing, and ground handling - Proficiency in handling escalations, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing consulting services - Familiarity with Mainframe TPF-ALCS, WAS-OLA, SPM, and development and support in Airline Control System (ALCS), TPF, DCS domain, Fare Quote Ticketing, Pricing domain, Reservations domain including One Order and New Distribution Capabilities - Expertise in High-level Assembly, JCL, REXX, Turbo Scripting (T2SE), and Java for WAS-OLA, SPM, with experience in both development and support of passenger service systems This position is based in Chennai.
