As a Maintenance & Sand Plant Engineer , you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and efficient operation of all foundry equipment, with a focus on the sand plant. This role is key to ensuring minimal downtime, optimizing plant processes, and maintaining safety standards. Role & responsibilities Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of foundry machinery and sand plant equipment. Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure machinery longevity. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues in the equipment. Supervise sand preparation, mixing, and reclamation processes to maintain high-quality sand for casting operations. Ensure proper functioning of sand screening, drying, and handling systems. Monitor sand quality and adjust processes as needed to meet foundry specifications. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance activities. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts. Monitor the condition and usage of equipment and make recommendations for new purchases or upgrades.
