Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements. Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Provide recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, comparing actual financial results to budgeted figures and explaining variances. Tax Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with tax regulations and prepare and submit tax returns as required. Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to stakeholders within the organization. Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records. Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to assess the differences between budgeted and actual financial performance and investigate the underlying causes. Financial Forecasting: Assist in developing financial forecasts and projections to support long-term financial planning. Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll processing and ensure that employee salaries, benefits, and tax deductions are accurate. Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
