What you will deliver Support mechanical engineering to deliver safe design of cost effective, quality and competitive projects. Support the Projects mechanical engineering team and Engineering Contractor(s) to deliver mechanical engineering scopes, including: o Provide technical oversight and review of mechanical engineering design contractor deliverables. o Provide requirements for mechanical equipment specification in requisitions/datasheets and selection as well as engineering package technical content. o Review technical bid analysis for mechanical equipment and systems. o Understand requests for exceptions/deviations to specifications or standards. o Provide technical input and oversight to equipment suppliers performance and delivery, o Provide support for design issues with considerations of cost, schedule, and quality o Work with engineering contractor(s) to verify they are performing required activities in line with project schedules, and assist bp s lead engineer in performance management. o Ensure that Engineering Contractor(s) apply bp s Engineering Practices and industry standards in engineering designs. o Review of vendor Inspection and Test Plans, documents and drawings. o Review of procedures for mechanical equipment for factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) plans o Record and share relevant learnings o Support resolution of complex mechanical engineering technical challenges.
