Press Brake Operator

As a Press Brake Operator, your role involves operating press brake machines to bend and shape materials such as sheet metal into required forms. You will be responsible for programming or adjusting machine settings according to job requirements, including bend angles and material thickness. Additionally, your key responsibilities include: - Setting up press brake dies, punches, and back gauges based on work orders or blueprints. - Conducting test runs to ensure machine settings produce accurate results. - Inspecting completed parts using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, tape measures) to ensure adherence to specifications. - Making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and precision. - Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to determine required materials and procedures. - Performing routine maintenance on machines and ensuring they are in good working condition. - Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. - Maintaining records of production activities, including completed tasks and machine performance. - Reporting any issues or malfunctions to supervisors. Skills required for this role include experience in operating press brake machines or similar metalworking equipment, ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions, strong attention to detail and precision in measurements, knowledge of metal types and their bending properties, and familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. Your qualifications should include a Diploma and a minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience. The job type is Full-time, Permanent. The work location is in person.
