Key Responsibilities:

• Review and prepare customer-supplied artwork files for print readiness.
• Perform preflight checks on files (fonts, resolution, color modes, bleeds, dielines, trapping, etc.).
• Make necessary corrections to ensure print compatibility and quality.
• Create and manage impositions, layouts, and templates as per job specifications.
• Generate proofs (digital or hardcopy) for customer and internal approval.
• Ensure accurate color management and calibration of proofing systems.
• Prepare and output CTP (Computer-to-Plate) or digital files for press.
• Work closely with the design, production, and printing teams to ensure smooth job flow.
• Maintain proper documentation and backup of print-ready files.
• Troubleshoot any file or RIP (Raster Image Processor) issues.
• Maintain equipment and software used in the prepress department.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Experience with Esko, ArtPro, or similar packaging prepress software is an advantage.
• Understanding of printing processes (offset, flexographic, gravure, or digital).
• Knowledge of color theory, trapping, and printing standards (ISO, Pantone).
• Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Design, or related field.

• Experience with packaging artwork, diedlines, and varnish or emboss layers.
• Familiarity with RIP software, CTP systems, and color proofing devices.
