Role & responsibilities Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable recordsProvide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organizationMaintain meticulous records of outstanding payablesEnsure the accuracy of an organizations financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposesProtect businesses against unintentional overpaymentPractice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely mannerClarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signaturesAssemble and review invoices to be completed for paymentMaintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for filesType periodic reports and other recordsObtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice paymentsCheck vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbersPrepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and proceduresReconcile bank statementsInput daily bookkeeping and record keepingVerify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendorsPreferred candidate profile MBA(Finance)/M.Com with 2 to 5 yrs of experience in Accounts PayableShould have excellent presentation and communication skills.

Job Summary:The Assistant Manager Taxation is responsible for managing the organization's tax compliance, ensuring timely filing of returns, and minimizing tax liabilities while adhering to applicable tax laws and regulations. This role involves handling both direct and indirect taxes, supporting tax planning initiatives, and ensuring smooth coordination with regulatory authorities.Key Responsibilities:1. Tax Compliance:Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, including income tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance with the latest regulations.Prepare and review tax computations and supporting documents.2. Tax Planning and Advisory:Support the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize the organizations tax position.Provide guidance to internal teams on tax-related matters and suggest tax-efficient processes.3. Audit and Assessments:Coordinate and manage tax audits, assessments, and inspections conducted by regulatory authorities.Ensure timely resolution of tax notices, appeals, and disputes in consultation with legal advisors, if required.4. Reconciliation and Reporting:Perform regular reconciliations for tax accounts, including GST, TDS, and income tax.Prepare and present periodic tax reports to senior management.5. Coordination and Liaison:Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and tax authorities for tax filings, clarifications, and compliance-related matters.Support internal stakeholders by providing tax-related inputs for financial planning and decision-making.6. Process Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in tax processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Stay updated on tax-related developments and propose relevant changes to organizational policies.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field.CA, CMA, MBA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.Experience:3-5 years of experience in taxation, with exposure to direct and indirect taxes.Experience in handling corporate tax matters is a plus.Skills:In-depth knowledge of tax laws (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Focus) and MS Office.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.Key Competencies:Ethical and transparent work practicesAdaptability to changing regulationsStrong organizational skillsTeam collaboration
