Full-time role. 24 days a month, working on-site. No work from homeLocation: Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Sr. SLA 3D Printing Tech will be responsible for handling various SLA 3D printing and activities. This person will single-handedly manage our small-batch production and 3D printing queues, both for production and custom projects. The incumbent MUST have a solid, in depth understanding of SLA/MSLA 3D printing, including through knowledge of slicer software like Chituox or Lychee, strong understanding of resin profiles and how they impact print quality, support and orientation to print functional parts, understanding of resin chemistry, properties and resin testing methodologies. The person must have a proven understanding of post-processing of resin prints, curing techniques and ways to ensure structural stability of resin 3D printed parts. The person will be solely responsible for handling the fabrication of our production batches, orders, custom printing projects and prototyping. The person will be responsible for: Production: Planning: We run 3D printers in production mode and the person handling 3D printing must be able to independently plan to print all components in a product in a various batches as per the production plan given by the management. Pre-processing and creating production batch packages: Must evaluate and understand various components of each product, create sliced packages for each type of parts with accurate printer and resin profile and maximise the output by ensuring batches of parts are printed in a manner that utilises printing time optimally. Post-processing: Ensure all parts are cured, sanded and primed, stored and dispatched as per the best practices and organisation's workflow. R&D: Understand and explore evolution and best practices to use SLA 3D printing for Model Trains and miniatures. Strong involvement with the resin 3D printing community to stay on top of the most advanced techniques, machines and materials. Participate in the prototyping of new products and product upgrades, provide design feedback that aides better production of parts. Technical Repairs and liaise with manufacturers/suppliers: The incumbent must be able to service, repair and upgrade SLA/DLP 3D printers to extend their life and gain consistent quality Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for service/repair and upgrade of machines FDM 3D Printing: The incumbent will be given responsibilities to handle (relatively small) FDM 3D printing responsibilities. Must be able to manage print queues and print parts as per design specifications. Required Skills and Experience: Must have demonstrated ability to independently manage ALL aspects of SLA/MSLA/DLP 3D printing - from pre-processing to finishing and everything in between. This person must be an EXPERT in resin 3D printing technology. Basic understanding of FDM 3D printing, machine calibration, and G-code manipulation. Must be excellent in planning and execution.
