This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations while adhering to strict aerospace industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision manufacturing, lean production methodologies, and leadership in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Execution: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer delivery schedules and quality standards. Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure on-time delivery. Monitor production metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield) and implement corrective actions as needed. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team, including supervisors, engineers, and operators. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability. Ensure adequate staffing and training to meet production demands. Quality and Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP). Collaborate with the Quality team to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions. Maintain documentation and records as per regulatory requirements. Cost Management: Manage production budgets and control costs without compromising quality or safety. Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements and resource optimization. Technology and Innovation: Stay updated with advancements in aerospace manufacturing technologies and implement best practices. Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance production capabilities. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing HSE policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus. Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in precision manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace industry. In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, welding, and assembly. Strong understanding of quality standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO 9001. Proven experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
