Product Design & Development Lead the design and development of LV & MV current transformers (CTs) as per IEC, IS, ANSI, and other applicable standards. Create and validate design concepts using simulation tools (e.g., FEM, Maxwell, SolidWorks). Drive product development lifecycle from concept through prototyping, validation, and release. 2. Engineering & Compliance Ensure all product designs meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance criteria. Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry certification requirements (e.g., type testing, routine testing, NABL standards). 3. R&D Strategy & Innovation Identify opportunities for innovation in product design, materials, and manufacturing methods. Support management in building a long-term R&D roadmap aligned with business goals. Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and competitor developments. 4. Testing & Validation Define and oversee internal type testing, routine testing, and third-party validations. Analyze test data, failure reports, and drive corrective design actions. 5. Team Collaboration & Support Collaborate with production, quality, marketing, and procurement teams for product realization. Guide and mentor junior engineers and support continuous knowledge development within the team. Interface with clients or consultants for technical presentations, approvals, and troubleshooting. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong technical knowledge in LV/MV instrument transformers (CT/PT). Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS Maxwell, or equivalent. Deep understanding of insulation systems, resin casting, toroidal core design, and magnetic behavior. Knowledge of testing norms: IS 16227, IS 2705, IEC 61869, etc. Good analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
