Position: Pastry Assistant Key Responsibilities: •⁠ ⁠Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of cakes, tarts and other baked goods. •⁠ ⁠Measure and mix ingredients accurately following recipes and instructions from the pastry chef. •⁠ ⁠Prepare fillings, glazes, and garnishes for cakes and pastries. •⁠ ⁠Assist in new menu development and setting up SOPs. •⁠ ⁠Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients and finished products. •⁠ ⁠Maintain a clean and organized workstation and uphold kitchen hygiene and food safety standards. •⁠ ⁠Support with inventory management. •⁠ ⁠Participate in daily kitchen clean-up and closing duties. Requirements: •⁠ ⁠Basic pastry knowledge is a must. •⁠ ⁠Must understand the works of a commercial kitchen. •⁠ ⁠Creativity and an eye for detail in presentation is valued. •⁠ ⁠Time management and ability to work under pressure. •⁠ ⁠Positive attitude and reliability. •⁠ ⁠Strong attention to detail, a passion for pastry and baking and open to experiment in the kitchen. •⁠ ⁠Ability to stand for long periods and work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
