About the Role We are building a new consumer wellness venture in the nutraceuticals space. To set up a strong foundation, we are seeking an experienced operations leader with deep expertise in product sourcing, procurement, and compliance . This is a ground-up role where you will take ownership of identifying and negotiating with manufacturers, managing regulatory documentation, and ensuring smooth product readiness for launch. Key Responsibilities Product Sourcing & Vendor Management Identify, evaluate, and finalize nutraceutical manufacturers (capsules, powders, gummies, functional foods, etc.). Negotiate MOQ, pricing, lead times, and quality standards. Build and maintain a strong vendor network across India (and internationally if required). Compliance & Documentation Manage all FSSAI, GMP, and regulatory requirements for product approvals. Oversee label approvals, stability testing, certifications, and third-party quality checks. Prepare and maintain all vendor and regulatory documentation. Procurement & Packaging Source and negotiate packaging solutions (bottles, jars, sachets, boxes). Optimize procurement costs while ensuring high-quality packaging that meets regulatory norms. Coordinate with logistics and warehousing partners for initial product flow. Operations Setup Establish procurement-to-market SOPs for supply chain and production cycles. Monitor vendor performance and ensure on-time delivery and quality. Support in new product feasibility studies and costings. Ideal Candidate Profile Education : B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc in Nutrition, Chemistry, or Life Sciences. MBA (Operations/Procurement) is a plus. Experience : 6–12 years in nutraceuticals, health supplements, or food-tech operations with a strong sourcing/procurement background. Track Record : Proven experience in setting up supply chains, vendor networks, and product approvals. Skills : Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building. Deep understanding of nutraceutical compliance and paperwork. Ability to create processes from scratch in a startup environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with execution-driven approach.
