Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Admission : Conduct initial evaluations, take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order necessary diagnostic tests upon patient admission. Emergency Response : Provide immediate medical attention during emergencies, including resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients. Ongoing Patient Care : Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure effective communication with consultants and the healthcare team. Medical Procedures : Perform routine procedures such as blood draws, intravenous insertions, and other interventions within their scope of practice. Documentation & Communication : Maintain accurate medical records, liaise with senior medical staff, and participate in handover meetings to ensure continuity of care. Administrative Duties : Assist in implementing hospital policies, participate in audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. 🎓 Qualifications & Skills Medical Degree : Completion of an MBBS or equivalent medical degree. Registration : Full registration with the relevant medical council or board. Experience : Typically, at least two years of post-registration clinical experience, including exposure to various medical and surgical specialties. Certifications : Proficiency in advanced life support techniques, with certifications in adult and pediatric resuscitation.
