Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stocktaking. Rotate stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) to ensure the use of older stock first. Monitor inventory levels and alert the supervisor or manager when stock needs to be replenished. Ensure kitchen staff receive the correct supplies, such as ingredients, utensils, cleaning materials, and equipment. Deliver supplies to kitchen stations or other designated areas when required. Ensure that all products are stored according to health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage areas, following all food safety guidelines. Check expiration dates on perishable items and ensure proper disposal of expired stock. Accurately record all incoming stock and maintain an organized inventory log. Assist with inventory audits and ensure that all records are up to date. Assist the kitchen team with other tasks as required, such as equipment handling, stock rotation, or cleaning tasks. Help with the delivery of kitchen supplies during busy times or special events.
