As a Powertrain Positioning Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting advanced engine room layout studies, designing and developing engine mounts, and resolving NVH and assembly issues related to engine mounts. Your role will involve coordinating with suppliers to resolve development issues, guiding and mentoring team members, and ensuring timely project delivery within cost and weight targets. Your responsibilities will include conducting advance layout studies for new powertrain positioning in vehicle platforms, optimizing mount parameters based on MBD analysis, designing engine mount brackets, and resolving NVH issues such as idle vibrations and cracking noises. You will also be responsible for project management, supplier relationship management, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in design processes and product performance. To be successful in this role, you should have relevant work experience in engine mounting and vehicle reliability testing, basic knowledge of engine parts and subsystems, and proficiency in UGNX for 3D modeling and simulation. You should also possess strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple projects effectively.
