As a Simulation Engineer specializing in Powertrain Durability at TVS Motor Company, you will be responsible for independently managing the delivery of powertrain durability simulations for 2-wheelers. In this role, you will collaborate with design leads to comprehend project scopes, allocate resources, prioritize work, and ensure timely project completion. Your expertise in various engineering fundamentals such as Strength of Materials, Applied Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, Powertrain Simulations, and Fatigue will be crucial in this position. You should possess proficiency in conducting Linear and Non-linear static analyses, Modal, Harmonic, and PSD response simulations of components and assemblies. Your responsibilities will also include performing duty cycle-based fatigue simulations on 2-wheeler components and sub-assemblies, proposing design optimizations based on FEA analysis, and considering manufacturing and packaging constraints for design changes. Additionally, you will be expected to establish correlations between test results and simulations, guarantee 100% quality and on-time delivery, and focus on weight and cost reduction through optimization techniques. To excel in this role, hands-on experience with tools such as HyperMesh, HyperView, Nastran/Optistruct, and FEMFAT/Hyperlife/n-code is essential. Your functional competencies should encompass product knowledge, product engineering and development, as well as automotive fundamentals. Moreover, your behavioral competencies will be tested through your communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in teams, interpersonal effectiveness, personal leadership, job completion rigor, customer-centric approach, and time management skills.
