PowerBuilder Developer/Programmer

Job Description: As a candidate for this role, you will be responsible for working closely with business partners on bugs, defect fixes, maintenance, and enhancements for PowerBuilder applications using Jira for tracking. You will troubleshoot legacy PowerBuilder application issues and collaborate with Technical Lead(s), App Dev Lead(s), and Business to resolve them efficiently. Additionally, you will be expected to perform unit/code testing, support QA Testing and UAT testing, and manage source code, change, and release management processes. Your role will also involve contributing to development tasks that support Drinking Water Protection modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Work with business partners on bugs, defect fixes, maintenance, and enhancements for PowerBuilder applications - Troubleshoot legacy PowerBuilder application issues and collaborate with Technical Lead(s), App Dev Lead(s), and Business for resolution - Perform unit/code testing, support QA Testing and UAT testing - Manage source code, change, and release management - Contribute to development tasks supporting Drinking Water Protection modernization efforts - Participate in team meetings, project planning meetings, and stand-up meetings - Estimate effort/duration for tasks and communicate status, issues, and roadblocks - Work on future state Java migrations/applications as requested - Provide knowledge transfer to State staff - Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Required: - Experience in PowerBuilder application development role(s) - Proficiency in writing PL/SQL database procedures - Familiarity with PFC class libraries - Experience with Client Server technologies such as VB, Delphi, or PowerBuilder - Proficiency in using Git source code management tool - Knowledge of SQL for CRUD Operations and/or View creation - Experience working with Oracle Relational Database - Ability to pick up legacy technology and update code or fix errors in code - Familiarity with JavaScript and related frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue,
