PowerBI Architect

Role Overview: As a Power BI Architect, your main responsibility will be to design, build, and scale a unified analytics ecosystem utilizing Power BI as a strategic enterprise platform. You will play a key role in architecting and operationalizing a high-performance BI environment that includes semantic modeling, CI/CD pipelines, advanced security measures, automation, and AI-powered insights. Your contribution will be crucial in establishing Power BI as the single source of truth across various business domains. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement Power BI workspace and app architecture for secure, scalable, and organized content management across Dev, Test, and Production environments. - Define governance frameworks for dataset certification, role-based access, and content lifecycle management. - Establish semantic models and shared datasets to promote reusability and enterprise consistency. - Integrate Power BI with enterprise data gateways (on-prem, VNet, and cloud) to ensure encrypted and audit-ready connectivity. - Design and manage Power BI Deployment Pipelines for automated content promotion between Dev, Test, and Prod environments. - Lead model design for Import, DirectQuery, Composite, and Live Connection modes to optimize performance. - Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) across datasets to ensure data security and compliance. - Integrate Power BI with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Data Factory for analytics-to-action workflows. - Utilize Power BI Copilot and natural-language Q&A capabilities for business-user-driven insights. - Partner with business units, data engineers, and governance leads to ensure alignment between data, reporting, and analytics goals. Qualification Required: - 8+ years of experience in BI/Analytics with at least 4+ years in Power BI architecture and enterprise deployment. - Strong expertise in Power BI Service, Desktop, Premium capacities, semantic modeling, DAX, performance tuning, CI/CD, RLS, OLS, and integration with Azure ecosystem. - Proficiency in data visualization design principles, accessibility, storytelling, and AI features. - Familiarity with Snowflake, Synapse, Databricks, or other enterprise data warehouses is a plus.
