You will be joining Autodata, a company with three verticals - Automation, Electrostatic Precipitator Controls, and a Power Electronic Department specializing in manufacturing DC power supplies, static VAR, and PF compensation equipment. The company is currently focused on developing Active Front End systems for Power factor improvements and Harmonic Compensation. In addition, there are plans for the development of a rectifier for high Voltage fed by a three-phase Trafo operating at 1000Hz. Your role will involve developing, manufacturing, commissioning, and maintaining a range of line-commutated Thyristor control equipment for Transformer primary control of single and three-phase transformers, specifically to control the operation of Electrostatic precipitator power suppliers with an output ranging from 95 to 120 kV and up to 2000 MA. Electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) are crucial for reducing particulate emissions in large and small power plants, sinter plants, Steel, and Cement Plants. Autodata is also engaged in high-frequency fed transformer rectifier systems for ESP applications, involving 25 resonant switching inverters. Furthermore, you will work on DC power supplies for Electro deposition, Battery Charging, and EV Charging. The company also produces analog and digital heater controls using line-commutated thyristor topologies for various applications. Autodata's control platform is based on Texas Instruments Picolo series DSP with associated peripherals like mux/demux units, A to D and D to A converters, communication memory, Digital and analog inputs and outputs, and Human Machine Interfaces. As a candidate, you should be proficient in the following areas: - Simulation (PCIM, Matlabs) - Code Composer software and C programming - Programming in C, debugging - Familiarity with power topologies (AFE, Buck-boost converter, resonant converter) - Gating and protection of IGBT, Mosfet, SCR - Hardware design - PCB multilayer design - Validation of hardware and software - Exposure to product design - Manufacturing, testing, and servicing documentation for products and systems - Magnetic design of chokes and transformer at 50Hz and high switching frequencies up to 50kHz - Thermal design and familiarity with thermal design software - GSM-based data logging and intervention The ideal candidate should possess enthusiasm along with a clear understanding of basic principles in the fields of application described. Commitment to working with the group for a mutually agreed minimum period of time is essential. You should be capable of working effectively in a team environment. Site visits for commissioning and servicing may be part of your responsibilities if requested by junior staff or management. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work.,
