Power Systems Modelling Engineer

A Senior Power Systems Modelling Engineer plays a crucial role in advancing electrical and power systems modelling tools. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing dynamic models for power systems, with a focus on Wind farm, HVC, and hybrid systems. Conducting rigorous simulation tests to evaluate model performance and ensure reliability will also be a key part of your role. Collaboration with multiple teams to leverage data for detailed system modelling is essential, as well as creating comprehensive documentation outlining model methodologies and studies. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership by offering guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and supporting grid connection projects. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/power systems engineering or a related field with 8 to 10+ years of experience. Proven experience in modelling inverter-based resources and working with tools like PSCAD, ETAP, ATP, DIgSILENT, and PSS/E is required. Strong foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles and the ability to work independently are essential skills for this role.
