Power BI Tester

As a Power BI Report Tester at our pharmaceutical IT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our reporting solutions. You will collaborate with the Power BI reporting team to understand requirements, design test plans, validate data quality, and track defects to deliver high-quality reports tailored to the needs of our stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Power BI reporting team to understand report requirements and design specifications. - Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for Power BI reports. - Validate data quality and integrity by writing and executing complex SQL queries. - Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data and reports. - Work closely with developers to troubleshoot data and report issues. - Participate in requirement analysis to ensure accurate testing. - Assist in implementing best practices for report testing processes. Qualifications: - Proven experience in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis. - Basic knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools and understanding of report testing methodologies. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and resolving data discrepancies. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing activities simultaneously. - Familiarity with QA methodologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the pharmaceutical IT sector. - Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts. - Certification in Power BI or SQL-related courses is a strong advantage.
