Power BI Developer

As a Power BI Developer, your role involves designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade interactive PowerBI dashboards and reports that align with strategic goals. You will partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into data models, and create visual analytics. Your responsibilities will include creating advanced DAX formulas and Power Query (M) scripts, integrating PowerBI with various data sources, and optimizing model and report performance using best practices such as query folding and incremental refresh. Additionally, you will implement row-level security, manage user access in PowerBI Service, and collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data integrity and refresh pipelines. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, along with at least 6 years of experience in Power BI report/dashboard development. You should have expert-level skills in DAX and Power Query (M), strong SQL proficiency, and a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with PowerBI Service, including gateway configuration and workspace management, is essential. Knowledge of REST APIs and R/Python integration is preferred, along with proficiency in report performance optimization and BI best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also required. Preferred qualifications for this role include Microsoft PowerBI Certification (PL300 or DA100), experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or equivalent cloud data platforms, Agile/Scrum project delivery experience, and familiarity with other BI suites like Tableau, Qlik, or SAP BO.,
