Power Architecture - Staff Engineer

As a software engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in defining software architectures as part of a larger system involving both software and hardware. Your main responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with engineers from various disciplines and technologies such as advanced CPUs, Hexagon DSPs, Adreno GPUs, AR/VR, ML/AI, 5G modems, Wireless LAN, and GPS - Contributing to the definition and communication of next-generation architectures for Qualcomm SoCs, with a specific focus on power, thermal, and limits management - Leading the software design process to implement the architecture on each SoC - Offering guidance to software teams on architecture and design, as well as assisting in issue resolution - Developing tools for identifying and debugging power consumption issues on development platforms and commercial devices Preferred skills and experience for this role include: - 8+ years of experience in software development for SoCs and platforms in wireless, automotive, and/or IoT - Strong analytical skills with a system-level problem-solving approach - Knowledge or experience in device drivers or board support packages (BSP), RTOSs, ADAS, in-vehicle infotainment systems, ARM processor architectures, power/thermal/limits management, and virtualization/hypervisors Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of software engineering experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years - 2+ years of experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
