Job Summary The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a Cattle feed manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal production efficiency, quality control, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This leadership role demands strategic planning, team management, and technical expertise in feed production processes. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence while maintaining high standards of product quality and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management Lead and manage day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics. Ensure timely production of Cattle feed as per demand forecasts and inventory levels. Monitor and optimize plant performance metrics such as throughput, yield, and downtime. Production Planning & Control Develop and implement production schedules aligned with business goals. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure raw material availability. Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Prepare and share regular reports with the central team covering production (daily, weekly, monthly), quality control, inventory management (raw materials, finished goods, and packing materials), and budget and cost control. Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for Cattle feed. Implement and monitor quality control systems and corrective actions. Collaborate with R&D and QC teams for product improvement and innovation. Maintenance & Engineering Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of technical issues. Coordinate with engineering teams for upgrades and modifications. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff across departments. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and training programs for skill enhancement. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including pollution control, labor laws, and BIS standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols and emergency response plans. Liaise with government authorities for licenses, audits, and inspections. Cost Management Control operational costs through efficient resource utilization and waste reduction. Monitor budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities. Role & responsibilities: The Technical Services and Formulation Manager - India will report directly to the CD&D Technical Director - Livestock and functionally report to General Manager - Animal Nutrition India and be our local expert for all technical service and formulation activities. In this capacity you will be in charge of the development of our technical approach in India with the following responsibilities: In collaboration with local commercial in India and regional technical team in Asia, participate to the development of our local activities in concentrates, feed additives and specialties for all species but more focus on poultry sector. Be the link between customer needs and optimal use of our products and services Provide and manage formulation of concentrates for local production, as well as complete feed formulation for customers. In charge of the development of feed and concentrate specifications and raw materials (20%). Deliver technical service to customers by providing technical input in the identification of customer opportunities and in resolving customer/product technical problems. Responsible for the customer product evaluation process, including identifying evaluation criteria, designing protocols, initiating tests with customers, coordinating testing parameters, and reporting findings to customers. Frequent travel is required (70%). Organize technical topics about feed and animal production to be presented to the local market and collaborate with the marketing team to develop key messages to publish to the market. Propose themes of research to regional technical team and also participate internal technical communication in the region (10%). Preferred candidate profile: Candidate must be a Veterinarian with minimum 10 years of experience in providing the technical services to the Poultry sector. Candidate should have a background of formulations in Poultry industry. Candidate should be well versed in software tools used for Formulations.
