Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing and intermediate-level automation skills for web(mandatory) and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases, identifying issues early in the development cycle, and contributing to automation efforts when needed. This role is primarily focused on manual testing, with an expectation to maintain and contribute to test automation frameworks using tools/libraries such as Playwright. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, document, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications. Perform functional, regression, UI, smoke, and exploratory testing. Perform cross-device testing. Report, track, and manage bugs using tools like JIRA. Collaborate with development, product, and design teams to review requirements and ensure test coverage. Develop and maintain automated test scripts (web and optionally mobile) using Playwright with typescript. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and QA sign-offs. Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Must Have Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, with strong manual testing background. Mandatory experience in mobile application testing (manual on Android and iOS). Self-motivated and proactive in identifying test gaps, raising risks, and suggesting process improvements Intermediate-level experience in test automation for web applications using Selenium or Playwright. Proficiency in any one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript). Exposure to mobile application testing (manual required, automation a plus). Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with test and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good to have Skills: Experience with mobile test automation using Appium or any native frameworks. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Location : Mumbai,Delhi / NCR,Bengaluru,Kolkata,Chennai,Hyderabad,Ahmedabad,Pune,Remote Required Skills (Must Have): Strong experience in functional testing of web and non-web-based (legacy/mainframe, client-server) applications as well as middleware components like MQ, healthcare information protocols Ability to analyze software requirements and create detailed test scenarios and cases. Experience in client interaction to gather and clarify product requirements. Participation in design and requirement reviews, offering valuable input on usability, testability, and risks. Hands-on experience with Selenium using Java, Python, or C#. Proficient in developing and maintaining automation frameworks (preferably from scratch). Working experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber). Experience testing RESTful APIs and ML-based services using tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured, etc. Proficient in creating and executing SQL queries. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and test management/defect tracking tools like ALM, Jira. Exposure to both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/SAFe) development methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation and test artifacts. Basic understanding of Java-based application deployments. Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies. Capability in Test Automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application types and platforms: Web, Microservice/API Knowledge and experience in Playwright, Selenium, API. Knowledge and experience implementing testing fundamentals such as TDD, BDD and Scrum Experience of working in an agile environment with at least foundational experience of digital infrastructure, configuration management, continuous integration & automated software releases. Deep knowledge and insights into testing best practices and implementation of unit, functional, integration, regression, tooling and frameworks covering functional requirements. Competent in working as a part of a Scrum team, in shaping User Stories and identifying acceptance criteria and key test scenarios Skilled in automating functional testing in sprint and maintaining automated regression packages Proficient in applying industry best practices, fostering knowledge sharing to provide solutions for complex business problems. Experienced working in a cross-functional delivery squads working with product owners, solution engineers, solution architects and other Quality Engineers. Proven ability to produce and automate appropriate test artefacts i.e test plans, approaches, summary reports. Technical Requirements Minimum of 3yrs + experience of the following: Strong commercial experience with Playwright, Selenium, API all within multi-tiered environments Experience of test automation RESTful API's Manual Testing using Postman Experience in test automation within a continuous integration environment (CI CD pipelines, ideally Jenkins)

Should have strong 5+ years hands on development project experience in C#, ASP.Net core, WebAPI, MVC, REST API, Micro services and SQL /Oracle. Good to have knowledge on Azure and AWS Familiarity with microservice architecture styles/APIs. Experience of working in Agile methodology using Azure DevOps preferred Group Insurance Domain Experience Preferred. Ability to support QA / UAT efforts by executing and validating API requests/responses (example Postman, Swagger other API platforms).
