You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-centric software solutions using various technologies. This includes conducting code reviews, recommending best coding practices, and providing effort estimates for the proposed solutions. Additionally, you will design audit business-centric software solutions and maintain comprehensive documentation for all proposed solutions. As a key member of the team, you will lead architect and design efforts for product development and application development for relevant use cases. You will provide guidance and support to team members and clients, implementing best practices of data engineering and architectural solution design, development, testing, and documentation. Your role will require you to participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning activities. It is essential to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the data engineering area to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. You will stay hands-on with the design, development, and validation of systems and models deployed. Collaboration with audit professionals to understand business, regulatory, and risk requirements, as well as key alignment considerations for audit, is a crucial aspect of the role. Driving efforts in the data engineering and architecture practice area will be a key responsibility. In terms of mandatory technical and functional skills, you should have a deep understanding of RDBMS (MS SQL Server, ORACLE, etc.), strong programming skills in T-SQL, and proven experience in ETL and reporting (MSBI stack/COGNOS/INFORMATICA, etc.). Additionally, experience with cloud-centric databases (AZURE SQL/AWS RDS), ADF (AZURE Data Factory), data warehousing skills using SYNAPSE/Redshift, understanding and implementation experience of datalakes, and experience in large data processing/ingestion using Databricks APIs, Lakehouse, etc., are required. Knowledge in MPP databases like SnowFlake/Postgres-XL is also essential. Preferred technical and functional skills include understanding financial accounting, experience with NoSQL using MONGODB/COSMOS, Python coding experience, and an aptitude towards emerging data platforms technologies like MS AZURE Fabric.
