Role & responsibilities Program complex components for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines using CAM software (Mastercam, Siemens NX, etc.) Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for precision machining. Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T. Optimize toolpaths for cycle time reduction and surface finish quality. Work closely with machinists and engineers to validate and troubleshoot NC programs. Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and make on-machine adjustments when necessary. Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and revisions. Experience with aerospace, medical, or high-precision components is an advantage. Preferred candidate profile 810 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines Strong expertise in CAM software like Mastercam, Siemens NX, Powermill, or similar In-depth understanding of machining processes, cutting tool selection , and fixture design Able to work independently and collaboratively with toolroom or production teams Knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring tools is essential
