You will be part of a dynamic team as a GIS Developer, where your main responsibility will involve designing, developing, and implementing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications and tools to cater to spatial analysis, visualization, and data management requirements within the organization. Your key responsibilities will include the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom GIS applications and web maps. You will be integrating spatial and non-spatial data utilizing APIs and database tools. It will also be essential to automate data processing workflows through Python, ArcPy, or other scripting tools. Proficiency in working with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, or open-source GIS tools is required. Additionally, you will be maintaining and enhancing GIS databases, services, and applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide GIS solutions. Conducting spatial analysis, creating custom maps and reports, and ensuring GIS data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with set standards are also part of your duties. Troubleshooting application issues and extending user support and training when necessary will be essential. As for the required qualifications, you should hold a Graduate degree in BE/B.Tech in IT/Computer Science or a Postgraduate degree in MCA/MTech with specialization in computers/electronics/IT or M.Sc. in CS/IT. Possession of a GIS Certificate or Diploma or Degree is necessary. Your expertise should encompass languages like JS and Python, platforms like PostGIS, tools like QGIS, ARC GIS, or Geo Server, and API integration proficiency. A minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development or geospatial programming is mandatory. You should be well-versed in GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar tools, with strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or other relevant languages. Experience with spatial databases like PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle Spatial, familiarity with web development technologies, and knowledge of coordinate systems, map projections, and geoprocessing tools are essential. This position is contractual/temporary for a 12-month period, with benefits including Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift, and the work location is in person.,
