The Executive - Stevedoring Operations plays a crucial role in overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo on vessels at the Tuticorin/Thoothukudi port. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and supervising stevedoring operations, preparing stowage plans, liaising with various stakeholders, monitoring turnaround times, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. You will be expected to maintain accurate documentation, resolve operational issues, and analyze data to recommend process improvements for enhancing efficiency. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in stevedoring, port, or terminal operations. Strong knowledge of cargo stowage, vessel operations, and port logistics is essential, as well as familiarity with different cargo types and handling procedures. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and address operational challenges. Additionally, the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, based on vessel schedules is necessary. Proficiency in MS Office and terminal operating systems (TOS) will be beneficial for carrying out your responsibilities effectively.,

Job Summary: We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Head Port Operations with 15+ years of hands-on experience in managing coal, ash, or mineral exports through port infrastructure . The ideal candidate will have deep operational expertise across port logistics, liaison with port authorities, regulatory compliance, and handling end-to-end exports/imports operations . This role requires someone with strong leadership and negotiation skills, capable of driving efficiency and cost optimization in high-volume bulk material handling. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of port operations including cargo handling, vessel coordination, documentation, and shore-based logistics for coal, ash, and mineral exports . Oversee import/export compliance , ensuring strict adherence to customs, environmental, and trade regulations. Coordinate with port authorities, shipping agents, transporters, freight forwarders, and government bodies for seamless operations. Plan and implement port logistics strategies to optimize turnaround times, minimize delays, and control operational costs. Monitor loading/unloading of cargo at ports and ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols. Handle liaison activities with local authorities, customs officials, and regulatory bodies. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance related to logistics, handling, and port services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export/import policies, international trade norms, and any changes in DGFT, EXIM, and shipping documentation procedures. Drive process improvements and technology adoption to enhance port operation efficiency and visibility. Prepare operational reports and present performance metrics to the senior leadership team. Key Requirements: 15+ years of experience in port operations with specific focus on bulk exports like coal, ash, or minerals . Strong working knowledge of port logistics, vessel operations, supply chain management , and export documentation. Proven experience in liaisoning with government agencies, customs, and port authorities. Thorough understanding of export/import regulations , EXIM policies, and related legal frameworks. Experience in managing high-volume cargo operations across major Indian ports (private and government). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel as required across port locations and company facilities.
