We are seeking a Marine Equipment purchase executive to manage international procurement of Marine equipment Role Executive Purchase (Marine Equipment) Department Procurement /Supply Chain Reports to Head of Supply Chain Operations Location-Turbhe,Navi Mumbai Role requires a good understanding of the Marine industry including the Global sourcing ,negotiation, Indian customs procedure ,purchasing of specialized equipment & services,as well as keen awareness of industry trends,HSN code ,customs code & safety standards The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation skills, a through understandings o end to end management of imports& the ability to work closely with the internal departments & external suppliers to ensure timely & cost effective procurement Key responsibilities 1) Procurement Management Oversee the procurement of Marine Equipment, including engine ,navigational systems, safety equipments, machinery and spare parts(Familiar with incoterms,bill of entry & import documentation is a must) Identify and evaluate suppliers ,ensuring that all equipment meets quality standards & regulatory requirements. Negotiate contracts ,prices and terms with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness & on time delivery. Coordinate with logistics & warehouse teams to ensure proper storage ,handling & timely delivery of marine equipment to operational sites . 2) Vendor Relationship Management Monitor supplier performance ,including delivery timelines quality of equipment & after sales service. Resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers or vendors promptly to avoid disruptions to operations . 3) Compliance & regulatory adherence Ensure that all marine equipments purchased complies with international maritime regulations ,environmental standards& company policies. Keep updated on industry standards ,regulations & certifications related to marine equipment & implement necessary actions to stay compliant. 4) Cost Management & budgeting Monitor & report on procurement expendidature to ensure adherence to budget. Indentify cost saving opportunities without compromising on equipment quality or safety standards . 5) Reporting & documentations Prepare & maintain accurate procurement reports , including purchase orders , invoices & supplier contracts Provide regular updates & reports to senior management on procurement status ,challenges & opportunities Qualifications Bachelors degree in Supply chain manae,Marine engineering ,Business Administration or related field. Masters Degree or professional certifications (E.g. CIPS ) is a plus Experience 1- years experience in procurements preferably in in Marine Industry. Basic knowledge of marine equipment types ,procurement processes & industry regulations . Familiarity with maritime safety standards & certifications .
