As the Head of IT & Systems Integration for the Automated Container Yard located in Mumbai, India, you will play a crucial role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing the entire technology ecosystem for India's first fully automated empty container yard at JNPT. This position requires a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor who can seamlessly integrate best-in-class solutions across yard management, port automation, ERP/TMS connectivity, and cutting-edge AI/computer vision capabilities. You will have the rare opportunity to lead the tech backbone of a state-of-the-art facility that will redefine container logistics in India. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing the end-to-end technology roadmap for the facility, selecting, integrating, and managing core systems such as Yard Management System (YMS), Dock & Gate Booking Systems, Vehicle Token & Transportation Management, Automated Crane & Handling Systems, ERP & TMS Integration, and Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Modules with damage estimation tools. You will also be responsible for ensuring system interoperability, data consistency, and process automation across the stack. In addition, you will act as the primary point of contact for all technology vendors, manage complex integrations between OT and IT systems, explore and deploy AI/ML solutions, implement computer vision tools, oversee testing, commissioning, and go-live plans for all systems, and build and lead a small high-performance IT/OT team on-site. Collaboration with operations, commercial, M&R, and finance teams to align tech solutions with business goals will also be a key aspect of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 12 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in ports, terminals, logistics, or manufacturing automation. A proven track record as a systems integrator managing multi-vendor technology programs, experience with YMS, TOS, ERP, TMS, and port automation, and a strong understanding of OT-IT integration, industrial automation, IoT, and computer vision applications are required. Exposure to AI/ML implementation in industrial settings and familiarity with Indian port regulations and customs systems are preferred qualifications.
