About the Role – Jr. Accountant We’re on the hunt for a detail-driven and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team at POPclub. Job Description Finance Operations (Marketplace Model) Position: Finance Operations Assistant Manager Department: Finance & Accounts/Business Finance Location: Bangalore About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Finance Operations team for our B2C e-commerce marketplace business. The role will focus on ensuring smooth financial operations across seller payments, commission reconciliations, tax compliance, and marketplace settlements. Key Responsibilities Seller Payments & Reconciliation Manage end-to-end seller payment cycles (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly). Reconcile seller invoices, commissions, logistics charges, returns, and deductions. Resolve payment escalations from sellers in coordination with internal teams. Revenue & Commission Management Validate transaction-level commission structures (TP/commission models). Ensure correct application of marketplace fees, discounts, and promotional costs. Monitor revenue leakages and report discrepancies. Order & Return Reconciliation Verify order vs. return data across sales and order reports. Ensure accuracy in return charges, cancellations, and GST treatment. Taxation & Compliance Ensure accurate GST reporting on sales, returns, and cancellations. Work with tax teams for timely filings and reconciliation of GST liabilities. Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance. Cross-functional Collaboration Coordinate with Business Development, Tech, and Operations teams to resolve pricing, commission, and order mismatches. Support finance leadership in preparing periodic MIS reports, dashboards, and reconciliations. Requirements Bachelors degree (Any Graduate)/CA(dropped) 3- 6 years of experience in finance operations / reconciliation / e-commerce marketplace. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets; knowledge of SQL/ERP is an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under tight timelines with attention to detail.
