Role Overview: As a Research & Technology professional in Navi Mumbai, MH, you will be responsible for the synthesis of vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) emulsions (copolymers and terpolymers) in lab and pilot scales. Your primary business responsibility will involve the development of new emulsions based on VAE formulations, co- and terpolymers, and ensuring the timely commercialization of products. You will also be required to have a thorough understanding of VAM emulsion polymerization and copolymerization chemistry, along with managing the long-term product pipeline and addressing customer complaints effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new emulsions based on VAE formulations, co- and terpolymers - Possess thorough knowledge of VAM emulsion polymerization and copolymerization chemistry - Understand global developments and identify new product ideas for commercialization - Oversee the development of emulsions to meet defined product attributes - Manage long-term product pipeline and stay updated on new trends in exterior and interior segments - Handle high-pressure polymerization reactors and attend to customer complaints - Support manufacturing units/plant for batch correction and take corrective and preventive actions post RCA - Have good information on competition benchmark products and work effectively in a team for improved productivity - Acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant patent literature from VAE expert companies like Wacker and Celanese - Demonstrate very good Technical Report writing skills Qualifications: - PhD in polymer chemistry or Polymer science, followed by postdoctoral studies &/or a job stint in the polymers/coatings industry, preferably from Europe, USA, Singapore, or Japan Previous Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in emulsion polymerization during PhD/postdoctoral stint &/or in emulsion suppliers or organized paint manufacturing company - Proficient in high-pressure polymerization chemistry and have exposure to Industrial customers for technical support - Desired experience in hands-on VAM/VAE emulsion polymers in companies like Celanese, Wacker, or Dairen - Prior experience in scale-up of emulsions from lab to shop floor is highly preferred.,
