Key Responsibilities : Maintain and expand close technical relations with Biogas OEMs, Natural gas OEMs, Process gas OEMs in India. Technical Training of OEMs, support during design phase, construction, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting. Capable of conducting on-site trials - commissioning and troubleshooting at customers place on behalf of the principal incl. conduction/organization of gas analysis, data collection and evaluation (insurance of high-quality process data). Initiate application development activity across value chain - Provide in depth knowledge of new applications and technologies. Independent planning, management, and documentation of projects, starting from the project initiation, followed by the project draft and the project execution in coordination with the client. Technical marketing - regular visits to key OEMs and end user companies. Provides technical and product training to end customers and OEMs. Analyze and Quantify business opportunities at OEMs. Prepare and maintain opportunity management and follow up opportunity till it is converted to sales. Education, Certification And/or Relevant Experience Required. Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Successfully completed studies in the field of process technology, chemical engineering or similar sciences (e.g polymer technology, membrane technology, etc. Additional Skills And Abilities Required For This Position. Technology Trainee Program: To accelerate development from Trainee to Scientist in 2-year training in Shanghai Technical Center, and then move back to home country. Trainee program across APAC region, including China, India and Japan within Mobility technology team. Build up the talent pipeline and cultivate talents with Axalta DNA. Trainings including soft skill, general skill, position skill and business knowledge through two-year job rotation in China, group activities, mentoring, etc. Objective of Scientist: Working as customer support scientist in Technology team, to develop and maintain cost-effective, high-quality products for our customers which can be manufactured efficiently in Operations by understanding our formulating practices, customer specifications and test methods, working with Operations to transfer products smoothly into production and following our quality procedures to ensure continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities: Develop/Optimize recipes for products following APQP process. This includes preparation of a lab sample and sufficient testing to demonstrate fulfillment of customer specifications, including color. Recipes are also to be developed to be cost effective, meeting our customers’ requirements while using low-cost materials. A scientist must understand how recipe cost impacts the profitability of our company. Work with operation team and other function to ensure new/modified product alignment (scale up) into production. Work with application team to develop application line simulation parameters to ensure that line trials and product introductions are right first time. Communicate with account teams to ensure that all project team members are fully up-to-date with technical progress on projects. When relevant, a scientist is responsible for finding suitable rework routes to support non-productive inventory reduction with product quality control. Keep test specifications and test methods up to date, develop new specifications and methods as required. Aim to minimize the amount of testing needed to meet our customers’ requirements. Analyze and document results, prepare technical reports, examinations, and summaries Ensure all project documentation is completed properly and in full and available for any internal or external quality audits. Attend line trials of new product launches at customer sites. Lead or take active role in problem solving of customer issues using appropriate methodology, e.g. 8D. Understand the process overview. Understand specific hazards on safety, health, environment related to the process. Understand the operation procedure. Safety practices related to work tasks. Key Job Requirements: Doctor degree or above from top universities, major in Polymer Materials and Engineering, Material Science or other Chemistry related major. Project management and problem-solving skill. Good computer skills including office, database, and statistics. Good verbal and written of English language.
