Key responsibilities and duties

• Diagnosis and treatment:

  Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including bunions, calluses, ingrown toenails, arthritis, and injuries, often utilizing X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasounds.

• Patient care planning:

  Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized treatment plans that may include medication, physical therapy, or orthotics.

• Prescriptions and orthotics:

  Prescribe medications and create custom orthotic devices to support and correct foot and ankle issues.

• Routine care:

  Perform routine care such as nail trimming and callus removal.

• Patient education:

  Educate patients on proper foot care techniques and injury prevention strategies.

• Collaboration:

  Work with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, especially for systemic conditions like diabetes.

Required skills and qualifications

• Doctoral degree / training in Podiatric Medicine.
• Practical experience in a clinical setting.
• In-depth knowledge of modern surgical and therapeutic treatments.
• Knowledge of medications and related physical therapy techniques.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
