One of our clients is looking to hire a Machine Automation Software Engineer for a Full-Time position in Chennai. As a Machine Automation Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain electro-mechanical systems (Robotics) for automated manufacturing processes. This role will involve modernizing legacy applications, developing secure and efficient software, and integrating advanced automation solutions using Java-based tools and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, design, and develop enterprise-grade applications for automated manufacturing. - Modernize legacy applications (e.g., Delphi) into Java-based solutions. - Develop software for integration of electro-mechanical automation systems. - Provide technical support and solutions for machine automation software. - Implement secure software practices using SAST and DAST tools. - Collaborate in designing automated test equipment and optimizing machine processes. - Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, designs, and test cases. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in Java development (Java certification preferred). - Proficiency in Java Native Interface programming and Java/FX for UI development. - Experience in system programming with C++ (Delphi experience is a plus). - Expertise in developing computer-controlled automation software. - Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices (Git/SCM, CI/CD pipelines). - Experience in computer vision automation and embedded programming is a plus. - Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred). Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of microservice architecture and web programming. - Practical experience with electronic design and pneumatic controls. - Prior experience in an ISO manufacturing environment.,
