What a typical day looks like: Coordinate and support the deployment of global systems at multiple sites, ensuring smooth project management, proactive site readiness, timely issue escalation, and dependable post-launch support as needed. Collaborate effectively with operations teams and technical stakeholders to gather user inputs, develop clear business concepts, prepare detailed requirement documents, and drive deliverables through the full development lifecycle from intake to production deployment. Take ownership of creating, reviewing, and executing test cases, performing feature validation, and supporting user acceptance testing to secure successful, high-quality releases. Develop, maintain, and enforce process standards, guidelines, and policies to uphold consistency and compliance across all supported sites. Prepare clear, well-structured training materials and deliver engaging sessions to ensure site teams confidently adopt new processes, system features, and performance metrics. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project trackers, reports, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed on status, risks, and site readiness. Job Role Head - Manufacturing Engineering Designation/Title Head - Manufacturing Engineering Key Focus The primary focus of this role is to lead the ME function for the plant and for industrial engineering, process engineering, design and development of tools and fixtures for industrialization of products. Roles and Responsibilities Design the manufacturing processes to ensure increased production and desired quality of products. Lead and manage the complete industrialization process for new products by budgeting for CAPEX, deciding the timelines, plant layouts, installation of machines, testing and roll out of the production. Budgetary control of CAPEX to ensure 80% investments required are done in the first 3 quarters. Design and implement productivity projects resulting in at least 3% reduction in the total production cost. Use MOST and PMTS systems and also identify and implement automation projects to reduce cycle times, consumptions, flow improvement, fatigue reduction, etc. Design and develop fixtures and tools and make it operational at plants and at subcontracting vendors. Review and audit production processes and check for non-compliances as per standard operating procedures. Ensure implementation of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 norms by conducting environmental tests of products and conducting audits. Lead, manage and develop team members through training, coaching, sharing best industrial practices and creating opportunities for the team to implement the same. Ensure top talent identification, development, retention and succession planning. Work with the R&D and SCM teams for planning, validation and control of product cost. Work with production team on analyzing manpower and machine utilization data every month. Functional Competencies • Knowledge of engineering techniques like Maynards Operating Sequence Technique (MOST) and Pre-determined Motion Time Standards (PMTS) • Complete understanding of fixtures design, tools and assembly process • Good knowledge of the product and its technology • Good business and financial acumen • Managing the change management process • Ability to influence and collaborate with various functional/department heads Qualifications, Role Specific Knowledge and Experience Bachelor degree in Engineering (BE) preferably in industrial management Relevant work experience of 7-10 years, including 5 years heading the ME function of a similar setup Should have excellent knowledge of engineering processes, tools and design Highly proficient in AutoCAD and MS-Excel Knowledge of ERP based applications Highly proficient in using MS-Office applications like excel, word and power-point Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
