Job Description

As an experienced Project Manager at Olympus Corporation, your main role will involve working closely with vendor project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of projects within the R&D activities scope. Your responsibilities will include: - Acting as the central point of contact for all DU project management activities, facilitating communication between the ODC and global teams - Driving, managing, and monitoring project progress across vendor R&D activities scope - Implementing best practices in program management, including Agile methodologies, to ensure high-quality product delivery on time and within budget - Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and enable data-informed decision-making - Creating, evaluating, and updating project plans in collaboration with Olympus Project leads and global PMO - Ensuring alignment across stakeholders regarding project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources - Maintaining end-to-end project documentation and tracking mechanisms - Supporting demand planning activities by cumulating project lists and identifying scope for offshoring - Owning projects for designated regions and managing end-to-end project planning and management activities - Monitoring, preparing, and presenting regular reports on project progress, issues, and solutions for stakeholders - Identifying, managing, and resolving project issues, providing mitigation plans and enforcing them with vendors - Regularly updating vendors on project developments, changes in requirements, and relevant information - Conducting research to support the project management office and other departments as required - Handling administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, and scheduling meetings Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelors/masters degree in science/business administration - Experience: 10+ years in project management, 3+ years in managing large global programs and vendor partners (preferably in medical devices) - Skills: Strong technical background in R&D engineering disciplines, understanding of IT development lifecycles and methodologies, Agile and Scrum certifications are a plus, experience with project management software, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, data-based decision-making approach, independent and detail-oriented, able to lead workstreams with minimal oversight, and contribute to the maturity of the Vendor Management team.,
