* Design Interpretation and Analysis: * Thoroughly review and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, 3D models, and specifications to understand design intent, critical dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements. * Analyze designs for manufacturability (DFM) and suggest modifications to improve fabrication efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality without compromising functionality. * Process Planning and Optimization: * Develop detailed fabrication process plans, including sequencing of operations (cutting, bending, welding, machining, assembly, finishing). * Select appropriate fabrication techniques, machinery, and tooling (e.g., CNC cutting, press brakes, welding processes like MIG, TIG, Robotic Welding). * Optimize existing fabrication processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and increase throughput.
