Job description Assistant General Manager - Projects Job Summary: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring efficient management of design, construction, logistics, procurement, and budgets. This role involves planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process while collaborating with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and various statutory bodies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. • Develop detailed budgets in collaboration with the Quantity Surveying (QS) team. • Create comprehensive project management, design, and construction schedules for construction, restoration, and refurbishment projects. • Oversee design processes from concept to "Good for Construction" (GFC) documents, ensuring timely delivery and coordination with consultants. • Supervise Construction Managers to monitor progress, worker productivity, and compliance with building and safety codes. • Work closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed ahead of schedule, with high quality and within budget. • Implement systems and processes to enhance cost and timeline efficiencies, along with robust reporting practices. • Generate periodic project reports and provide weekly project snapshots and action plans. • Coordinate and manage architects, designers, consultants, purchase & admin personnel, technical teams, contractors, vendors, and supervisors. • Review and approve quantity take-offs and billing processes in collaboration with relevant departments. • Establish and maintain a strong reporting system to keep senior management informed on project status. • Proactively identify and flag potential issues that could impact project delivery, proposing mitigation strategies to stay on track. • Lead regular project review meetings with senior management and key stakeholders. • Coordinate with purchase & admin personnel, data management teams, contractors, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth operations. • Oversee all logistical aspects of project execution, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials and resources. • Create, implement, and manage systems to ensure smooth project operations while keeping company management informed on project status, expenses, and client satisfaction. • Recruit, train, and manage project management teams in coordination with HR and project managers. • Continuously improve systems, technologies, communication practices, vendor/contractor search and empanelment practices to ensure cost reduction, highest quality standards, and timely delivery. • Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
