Plumbing Design Engineer - MEP
Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing plumbing systems for residential and commercial projects. This role requires expertise in plumbing codes, regulations, and modern design tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed designs for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems, in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and project documents using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Perform hydraulic and flow calculations to determine system requirements.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and adherence to design specifications.
Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
Ensure designs are optimized for cost efficiency, sustainability, and performance.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to plumbing systems.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
3 years of experience in plumbing design or a related role (e.g., MEP engineering).

Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
Strong understanding of plumbing codes and standards (e.g., IPC, UPC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
Experience in hydraulic calculations and system sizing.
Familiarity with sustainable design practices, including LEED compliance and water efficiency.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
