PLSQL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL code including procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Design and implement database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and materialized views.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and tune SQL queries for performance.
• Analyse business requirements and convert them into technical solutions using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed in SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and other teams to ensure smooth deployments and minimal downtime.
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance improvements and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed code and database structures.
• Participate in data migrations, DR Testing, upgrades, and patching activities.
• Ensure data integrity and security standards are maintained in all database operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum

  5 years

  of experience in

  Oracle PL/SQL development

• Strong understanding of

  SQL

  Oracle 11g/12c/19c

  database architecture

• Experience with

  performance tuning

  ,

  query optimization

  , and

  analysing execution plans

• Proficiency in developing

  stored procedures, triggers, packages, and views

• Experience with

  data modelling

  normalization

  concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience in tuning Oracle queries in large databases.
• Good experience in loading and extracting large data sets.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no supervision, and is committed to the highest standards of quality for the entire release process.
• Experience in working in an

  Agile/Scrum

  environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Oracle APEX, Forms & Reports, or other Oracle development tools.
• Any wider SQL or DB experience would be desirable e.g. Postgres, MSSQL, MySQL etc.
• Exposure to Data analytical tools.
• Experience with

  Oracle BI/Tableau
