We are currently looking for a highly experienced Senior Piping Design Checker with 10 to 15 years of expertise in piping design and checking activities within the oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or related industries. As a Senior Piping Design Checker, you will be responsible for independently reviewing piping design deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and overall design integrity. This role necessitates a profound understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and verifying all piping design deliverables for accuracy and compliance with project specifications, international codes, and standards. You will perform detailed checking of isometrics, P&IDs, GA drawings, plot plans, and 3D models. Ensuring proper routing, accessibility, constructability, operability, and maintainability of the piping system will be crucial. Additionally, you will conduct clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflicts, verify bill of materials, material take-offs, and ensure the proper selection of piping components. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters, participating in design reviews, model review sessions, and supporting construction and commissioning activities as required are also part of the role. Strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements is essential. To qualify for this position, you should have 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. You must possess excellent knowledge of piping design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ANSI, ISO, along with strong knowledge of 3D software (E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD). A thorough understanding of P&IDs, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and isometric drawings is required. Knowledge of material specifications, pipe supports, stress analysis concepts, and fabrication practices is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, excellent coordination and communication skills for interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams, leadership and mentoring abilities for guiding junior team members, familiarity with project phases (FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning), ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and good documentation, reporting, and quality control skills are also necessary for this role.,

Working as part of a large engineering group, the role requires the ability to carry out Electrical Design activities and support the Electrical Engineer for the wider electrical engineering design associated with modification and installation of electrical plant & equipment within existing brownfield facilities and also for the installation of electrical plant & equipment into new greenfield facilities. You will need to be fully conversant with the use of AutoCAD software for the preparation of electrical drawings including SLD's, Block Diagrams, ICD's, electrical equipment layouts, earthing layouts, schematics, above and below ground cable Routing Drawings, & plot plans in line with the Client's requirements and applicable international standards. Additionally, the role includes preparing 2D and 3D plant layouts for Electrical Equipment in line with the requirements of the engineering project team. You should possess the ability to be self-motivated, plan out your own work, and feed into the overall plan in coordination with the wider electrical engineering and project team. Creating tasks and work breakdown structures in order to assist with the estimate of associated man-hours to complete packages of work for projects and tender documentation to support the sales team is desirable for this role. You will be responsible for creating and modifying detail drawings using 2D/3D AutoCAD software packages based on information supplied by electrical and other multi-disciplined engineers and designers. The ability to use lighting design software, Navisworks, and Revit is also required. You should be proactive and coordinate with other discipline groups to gather the necessary information for input into electrical engineering design to enable the design process to be managed to the agreed schedule and accelerated where necessary to meet project milestones. Moreover, you should have the capability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems and clash avoidance. Generating material take-offs for estimating purposes from 2D and 3D drawings and assisting with the overall estimating process is part of the role. Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfill the individual scopes of work is essential. You will also be involved in establishing, maintaining, and enforcing the use of proper CAD standards and procedures across the business. The role will require working alone and as part of a large cross-disciplinary team, so being self-motivated and a strong communicator who works well with others will be advantageous. Qualifications required for this role include an Electrical Engineering qualification to Diploma or Bachelor's Degree level, City & Guilds 4351 AutoCAD levels 2 & 3 (2D&3D) or equivalent qualification as a minimum, excellent CAD skills, including considerable experience using AutoCAD Software, and Autodesk AutoCAD certified user certification.
