Position Summary: We are seeking a Parts Engineer who will be responsible for the inventory or spare and replacement parts management for Aeroderivative Gas turbines globally. The candidate is an engineer with inter-disciplinary understanding of Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation & Controls. The position is based in India and involves collaboration with Siemens Energy in the USA and the UK. Prior to the start of work, all the relevant tools and process training will be provided. This position would require flexibility and a great attitude towards learning. A Snapshot of your Day How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities of role) Research Problem Reports (Typical small-scale tasks/projects requiring Parts engineering work and support) Contact OEMs & Suppliers, clearly understand what there is in their scope and what is outside the scope. Work with internal Siemens Energy groups (i.e. Supply Chain, Parts Application Engineers, and Parts Definition Engineers) to gather information on Problem Reports Prepare Datasheets/ Specification forms, Comparison sheets, need to research available for existing part in project archives in EDA portal, project folder and PLM for a detailed description of parts and systems. Need to Obsolete the earlier part if we are replacing the part clearly mentioning the difference in form, fit and function including certification details. Creation of SPIRs (Spare parts interchangeability reports) for various systems in an Aeroderivative Gas turbine project. This is extra workload and is not typical work however, we only do this at customer request. What You Bring (required qualification and skill sets) Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation & controls with experience of at least 8-10 years in the oil and gas industry and/or power generation industry. Knowledge of various systems like Lube oil system, Air system, Instrumentation system, control system and hydraulic system. Knowledge of various instruments- pressure gauge, level gauge, temperature sensors, flowmeter. Experience in Gas Turbine products, Aero engine products would be preferrable. Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems, Siemens AGT products and packages would be preferrable. Positive Mindset and proactive nature would be highly appreciated. Detail-oriented skills to ensure all parts of a solution come together and work as intended Proficiency with tools such asMicrosoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Salesforce, PLM2020, and OnePM. Candidates should demonstrate the ability tocollaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams(mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally. Analytical Skills:Use your analytical prowess to foresee potential issues with suggested part by OEM's. Excellent Communication & Multilingual Skills:Excellent communication skills, especially in dealing with suppliers and team members from different regions who may or may not be proficient in English. Multitasking:Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to ensure smooth operations. Methodological approach: The role's requirements and responsibilities are to be structured, systematic manner. This approach ensures clarity, precision, and comprehensiveness. Presentability:Maintain professionalism all the time, ensuring effective and respectful interactions with colleagues, suppliers, and clients. Innovative Thinking:Bring innovative solutions to the table, inspired by the ingenuity of mythological inventors. Digitalization and automation orientation would be added advantage.

As part of the team, you will be tasked with the preparation of detailed designs, standard technical specifications, and request for quotation (RFQ) documents for Siemens Energy Medium Gas Turbine fluid systems. These systems include fuel gas, fuel oil, lubrication oil, compressed air, wet injection, compressor washing, and drain systems for the selected gas turbine package. Your responsibilities will involve addressing standard product issues, site issues related to the component or package, and enhancing standard products. This position is based in Gurgaon, India, within the challenging technical environment of the Global Customer Operations, Fluid Systems department. You will closely collaborate with the Fluid Systems department in Finspang, Sweden. In your new role, which is both challenging and future-oriented, you will be a vital member of the Fluid systems coordination team. You will be responsible for resolving standard gas turbine product issues or site issues in the R&D department. Your tasks will include participating in fault reports, defining system strategies, contributing to the creation and maintenance of system roadmaps, and driving tasks related to meetings with internal interface partners, customer order engineering, and suppliers. Additionally, you will be involved in the preparation of PIDs, BOM, system descriptions, and RFQ documents. Your role will also involve checking vendor bids, providing clarifications, conducting technical vendor negotiations, evaluating vendors, assessing risks, and supporting commercial selections. You will be responsible for checking vendor designs and documentation, supporting detailed designs by vendors, suggesting and working on cost-saving ideas, documenting and driving implementation in PLM2020 and SAP, releasing and maintaining reference documentation in COMOS, PLM2020, Team Centre, or related databases, benchmarking knowledge internally and externally at Siemens, and aiming to become the expert in system function and detailed design. Furthermore, you may be required to provide field/site support as needed, especially during warranty and service support after the warranty period. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering or a comparable field, along with 3 to 10 years of engineering work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in power plant engineering. The role may require global travel, so flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities are essential. Strong communication skills, teamwork, dedication to the product, understanding of quality, costs, and delivery time interactions, as well as expertise in fluid system engineering, are key attributes we are looking for. Preferred qualifications include expertise in comparable technical areas of work, knowledge in Oil and Gas and floating platform designs, proficiency in COMOS, PLM2020, and SAP, experience in fluid mechanics and fluid dynamics, familiarity with relevant international codes and standards, and a solid understanding of the gas power generation business.
