Prepare single-line and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable tray & wireway designs, and P&IDs as per customer specifications. Ensure compliance with UL508A, IEC, NEMA, BS, European, IS, NEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards. Design and test safety interlocks in compliance with NFPA and customer-specific safety regulations. Develop EPLAN symbols, metadata fields, macros, 3D macros, and drilling patterns. Create and update functional design specifications. Specify and size electrical equipment , prepare load lists, electrical calculations, cable schedules, and layout drawings. Utilize software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and SolidWorks Electrical. Interpret and review mechanical (P&ID, equipment layouts, piping, HVAC, PHE, fire protection), and ELV (BMS, SCADA, fire alarm, CCTV, public addressing, field instrumentation) drawings and layouts. Develop basic, detailed, and GFC (Good for Construction) single-line diagrams, ensuring proper relay protections, metering, operation, controls, safety interlocks, and redundancies. Work with relays, switchgear protection, transformers, cables, motors, VFDs, UPS, and soft starters. Prepare lighting, cable tray, earthing, lightning, and conduit/wiring drawings. Develop power & control cable schedules, tray sizing, and earthing schedules. Strong understanding of E&I equipment such as transformers, panels, cables, heat trace systems, PLCs/RTUs, control valves, and field instruments. Estimate BOQ/BOM for projects. Prepare RFQs with complete scope details, datasheets, specifications, drawings, and risk assessments. Review vendor technical submissions for technical compliance, contractual obligations, site installation, commissioning, and constructability. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering. 5–10 years of relevant electrical design experience. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and piping).
