As a Fire & Gas Engineer at our company located in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in re-implementing and maintaining fire detection, gas detection, and suppression systems in industrial environments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with international safety standards, integrating F&G systems with overall process safety and automation, and performing building maintenance tasks to uphold facility safety and functionality. Your key responsibilities will involve System Design & Engineering, where you will develop designs for Fire & Gas detection and suppression systems in hazardous environments, select appropriate equipment, and prepare necessary engineering documents. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring Compliance & Standards by adhering to various regulations, conducting technical studies, and verifying system integrity. Maintenance & Troubleshooting will also be a significant part of your role, where you will develop maintenance schedules, troubleshoot faults in systems, and provide technical support and training. Additionally, you will be involved in Project Management & Coordination, working closely with contractors, consultants, and vendors, participating in bid evaluations, and collaborating with different teams for system integration. To excel in this role, you are required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Instrumentation, Fire Safety, or a related field. Your technical skills should include experience with fire detection and gas detection systems, knowledge of fire suppression systems, understanding of PLC/DCS integration, and proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Eplan, and F&G mapping tools. You should have over 5 years of experience in Fire & Gas engineering within industries like Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Industrial Plants. Moreover, possessing soft skills like problem-solving, analytical skills, strong communication, teamwork abilities, and the capability to work effectively under pressure to meet project deadlines will be beneficial for your success in this role.,
