Role Overview: As a PLC/SCADA Engineer specializing in dredging/marine systems, your main responsibility will be the design, programming, and implementation of advanced automation solutions. You will be pivotal in the PLC/SCADA development, system integration, and simulation-based testing processes. Your role involves ensuring high system performance, reliability, and efficiency through innovative control solutions and continuous optimization. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic marine environment is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Design and program PLC and SCADA systems for dredging operations. - Develop and code applications to integrate and optimize control systems. - Draft detailed Functional specifications and documentation to support system design and development activities. - Configure and implement user interfaces using SCADA package for effective machine interaction. - Integrate PLC systems like Cimplicity SCADA, Allen-Bradley PLC, or equivalent technologies into the overall system architecture. - Set up complete systems configurations and ensure seamless connectivity between hardware and software components. - Conduct comprehensive system testing, simulation, and validation to guarantee optimal performance and reliability. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and marine engineers to deliver reliable, stable, and efficient automation solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering. - 5-8 years of proven experience as a PLC/SCADA engineer; marine or shipbuilding experience preferred. - Experience in configuring different types of networks. - Strong knowledge of designing, programming, and coding. - Proficiency in PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI design. - Familiarity with marine automation systems, ship machinery, and relevant international maritime regulations and classification. - Strong knowledge of PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent. - Proficiency in SCADA systems such as Cimplicity, Wonderware. - Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols. - Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
