Play Group Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment aligned with international early-years standards.
• Plan and conduct engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Facilitate daily routines including circle time, storytelling, creative art, music, sensory play, and outdoor activities.
• Observe and document each child’s progress, maintaining student portfolios and developmental records.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in all classroom activities.
• Support children during meals, washroom routines, and transitions with patience and empathy.
• Build positive and effective communication with parents, sharing regular updates on learning and behaviour.
• Collaborate with coordinator / centre head, and the Early Years department to maintain high-quality learning experiences.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, school events, and professional development sessions.
• Uphold school policies, child safeguarding guidelines, and international best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Any Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Early Childhood Education / Montessori Training / NTT / B.Ed or equivalent.
• Prior experience in Playgroup or Early Years teaching is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, child-friendly personality.
• Passion for play-based and experiential learning methods.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multicultural team.
