Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of Nickel & Chrome electroplating lines.
Check and maintain plating bath parameters (Temperature, pH, Current density, Filtration, etc.).
Execution of daily production plans and ensure timely delivery output.
Conduct routine chemical testing & maintain log records.
Ensure plating quality standards such as thickness, brightness, adhesion, corrosion resistance etc.
Support resolution of plating defects like pitting, blister, peeling, rusting etc.
Manage chemical and raw material inventory required for plating operations (chemicals, brighteners, consumables).
Manpower management and shift supervision.
Ensure PPE usage & safe chemical handling compliance.
Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Maintain documentation for plating operations, records & statutory compliance.
Support housekeeping, 5S, EHS and ISO / IATF / customer audits.

Required Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of electroplating process for Nickel & Chrome.
Knowledge of plating chemicals, additives and testing methods.
Familiarity with ETP/STP/ZLD operations preferred.
Ability to analyze plating issues and corrective actions.
Ability to supervise manpower & shift operations.
Knowledge of plating thickness tools (XRF / Micrometer).
Good communication & reporting skills.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / B.Tech in Chemical / Metallurgy / Mechanical / Surface Coating.
Certification in electroplating preferred.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work in shifts.
Experience in automotive plating preferred.
